Privacy Policy

Effective July 30, 2026. This policy applies to Prism IPTV Player on macOS, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Android TV.

Data stored on your device

Playlists, favorites, recent channels, guide configuration, playback preferences, and Smart Curate settings are stored locally on your device. Prism does not operate a cloud account that receives this library.

Network requests you initiate

When you import, refresh, validate, search, or play content, Prism connects to the playlist, guide, artwork, discovery, or stream addresses involved in that action. Those services can receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and user agent under their own policies.

Public-source discovery

Optional discovery can request public catalog information from services such as GitHub, Reddit, and the Prism scanner gateway. Prism sends the search or validation request needed to return public playlist candidates; it does not send your saved private playlists to those services.

Local AI

On supported Android phones and tablets, optional Gemini Nano planning runs privately through Android AICore. Android TV uses Prism's deterministic curation engine with no LLM or model dependency. On macOS, optional Ollama integration connects only to the address you configure.

Analytics and tracking

The Prism apps do not contain advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated behavioral analytics. The public download and support website is hosted by Netlify, which may process standard web request logs to provide and secure the site.

Children

Prism is a general-purpose media player and is not directed to children. Users control the playlists and services they add.

Your choices

You can remove imported playlists, favorites, recents, and settings from within Prism or by deleting the app and its local data. Optional discovery and on-device intelligence can be disabled in Android Settings.

Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
