Prism support

Practical help for playlist import, playback, guide data, search, favorites, and Smart Curate.

Before you start

Prism is a player. It does not include TV channels or sell IPTV service. Import only M3U/M3U8 playlists and XMLTV guides you are authorized to use.

A stream will not play

  1. Confirm the stream works in another standards-based player.
  2. Refresh the playlist and run Prism’s stream validation.
  3. Try another network and verify that the provider permits your device and location.
  4. For live HLS, allow a few seconds for the first segment to buffer.

Guide data is missing

Add the provider’s XMLTV or XMLTV.GZ guide URL, then refresh. Matching is strongest when the playlist’s tvg-id agrees with the guide channel ID.

Smart Curate

Prism's deterministic curation works without an account on every Android device. Supported phones and tablets can optionally use private Gemini Nano planning through Android AICore. Android TV never requires an LLM or model.

For beta support, include the platform, Prism version, playlist type, and the exact on-screen error. Do not send playlist credentials or private stream URLs.
